
I spent decades enslaved to a negative, fearful mindset. It caused me daily emotional pain.
The pain became so unbearable that I had to get serious about finding a way out of my suffering if I wanted to stay alive. I began a mindfulness practice about 8 years ago that radically transformed my life for the better. I’m passionate about helping others find not only relief, but to live lives filled with joy and purpose.
The most valuable skill or talent that you could ever develop is that of directing your thoughts toward what you want.
— to be adept at quickly evaluating all situations, coming to the conclusion of what you most want—and then giving your undivided attention to that. There is a tremendous skill in deliberately directing your own thoughts that will yield results that mere action can not provide.
This daily practice is about reframing experiences and monitoring your thoughts.
Intentionally checking thoughts that harm and replacing them with thoughts that help and serve you. Thoughts create feelings, not the other way around. Although, the pharmaceutical companies want you to believe the opposite is true, and purely for profit.
Most people believe they can’t control their negative thinking. There are two things wrong with this mindset. #1-emotions do not create thoughts. Thoughts create emotions. And #2-you CAN learn to control your thoughts. It’s a daily practice that anyone can learn and eventually master. If you are feeling sad, or depressed, your stinking thinking (I call it the Monkey Mind) is likely the root of the problem.
People commit suicide because of repeated, unchecked and hopeless thought patterns.

You can learn to control your mind to think thoughts that serve you instead.
Initially it’s like riding a bucking bronco and takes lots of effort to shift your mindset. But over time, it becomes habitual, and your life becomes infinitely better.
A healthy mindset will improve every area of your life: Marriage, career, weight loss, identity, self-esteem and self-love. We hold the power to create and shape our realities. Let us embrace this profound responsibility.
